12'', Djax-Up-Beats, 1997

Some of the iciest, future-leaning electro of the decade 

was courtesy of the prolific Dutch Djax-Up-Beats 

Records in the form of 12''s by The Operator. Minimal, 

dystopian and cinematic, experiencing these tracks at 

raves invoked images of Bladerunners in crumbling 

neon cityscapes. "The Mind Strike" remains my favorite 

90's electro track.
